My office is one of my favorite places in the house. I spend hours here either working on the computer, reading or watching my favorite TV program. When we moved into this home 4 1/2 years ago, I claimed the loft as my Girl/Cave-Loft -Office. I thought I would share Summer In The Office.
I love this space. It sits right at the top of the stairs and overlooks the front half of the house, so I feel like I am always in the middle of everything. The small settee, leather wingback chair and a small wicker trunk create the perfect little seating area. I have a small “louis” style chair to round out the seating area and fill in the corner.
As you can see in the mirror, this wall is filled with a bookcase and TV armoire. This give me plenty of room for all my office supplies, books and fun knick-knacks.
I use an antique Gateleg table as my desk. A small bookcase holds all the immediately needed office supplies on a day-to-day basis. I love how this looks and it functions perfectly for me.
From my desk, I can look over the railing and see the front half of the house. The living/dining area. This always makes me feel like I am part of everything that is going on and not cooped up in a corner somewhere.
