Summer Wardrobe Basics

It’s been a while since I refreshed my summer clothes, so I went on a shopping spree to find a few things that would work all summer long and mix in with what I already have.  These are some of the Summer Wardrobe Basics that I found and liked.  I think they would work in any wardrobe and are really affordable.  Find all the links at the bottom to see details, colors, and pricing.

 

We all need a simple summer dress.  This is one that can be a swimsuit coverup, or the perfect cool little dress to pop on for any errand or even lunch with the girls.

I am always a sucker for stripes or polka dots.  This fun knit dress can be tied at the waist, has pockets and a great neckline that is always flattering.  I would wear this to a party with heels or cute sandals, or just about anywhere.  This would probably be my go-to dress all summer long.

I buy one of these every summer.  A fresh knit black dress that is appropriate for everything.  Pool party, date night, or any time.  Dress it up with a pretty summer shawl for the evening, add some jewelry and pretty heels, or just go with it as is with sandals.  It will always be perfect.

We all need a great pair of summer jeans.  These are everyday and anywhere.

I love a pair of cotton flowy, roomy pants for summer.  These also make a great swimsuit coverup.  Add a tee shirt or blouse and you are good to go.  These become one of my favorite around the house pants too.  I have several pairs of these in other colors.

A fabulous button up shirt is year round for me.   I love one like this for summer too.  It is perfect again as a bathing suit cover-up.  Tie it at the waist over cropped jeans for a fun evening patio party.  Use it anytime and with almost anything.

I am a blouse girl and this one is so cute.  I would wear this a lot – over shorts, with jeans, a pair of slacks or a cute skirt.

We all need some new summer sandals too, so I love these.  Skechers are always so comfy, so these would probably be my all-day every day shoe.

I don’t wear heels too often, but a cute pair of wedges would be nice.
