I always love opening that door and inviting you into my home. I would love for us to be able to have a real visit, but today we will have to have a virtual visit. We’ve been in this house 4 1/2 years now and it has become such a great place for us to welcome friends and family. We’ve made tons of changes and now I think it truly reflects us and our style.
One of my favorite things about the living room is the fabulous light that pours in through those amazing 9ft. windows. It just makes the house feel so welcoming. This year I am really drawn to all the fall colors of orange, yellow, rust, and beige. I love those colors and had enough in my stash to pull this color scheme together pretty easily.
Since I always think these colors are a little bit more masculine, I made one more change to the room. I swapped out the white wingback chair I had in the corner with a wonderful tufted leather wingback chair that was previously in our bedroom.
I love the change and how it makes the room look so different. It adds a ton of texture and warmth with the fall colors.
I love to mix patterns & textures, so I used plaid, checks, suede, and rafia.
A wicker basket with sunflowers, leather & straw pumpkins, and antlers add even more texture.
Since the dining area is part of this same space, I created a table setting that coordinated with the living area.
Orange plaid napkins, straw & leather pumpkins, and antlers carry the theme over to the table.
I think the two glass hurricanes add a little “class” to an otherwise simple table.

It all looks lovely. I do have to wonder, with all the decorations on the table …where do you put the food? I am outnumbered in a family of boys and young
men….THEY WANT FOOD….they do not care about decor !!!!…lololo…..and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
we usually serve buffet style since everyone likes to choose what they want to eat.

Did you paint your front door? For some reason I think it was dark. Though it looks nice in white!
