I know you’ve heard me say many times what wonderful and supportive people most Bloggers are. I’ve learned it is a community where everyone supports each other and they are always there in good times and bad. Our blogging world has lost a very special person.
Every Friday a group of us would join in for Home Decor & Encore where we would share a post from the past that you might have missed. Paula was one of this group and she always shared the most uplifting and inspiring posts. In 2017 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. She fought the bravest battle anyone could ever fight and lived each day with a beautiful smile and spirit. Paula was always one of the first to reach out to others and lift them up and encourage them any way she could. She continued with her blog Virginia Sweet Pea as if nothing was going on. Her battle came to an end last Saturday. Our hearts are broken and she will be so missed. Our prayers go out to her family and friends. Rest in peace dear friend, you are very dearly loved.
Marty,
She truly was a inspiration to so many….She will be missed..
Hugs,
Deb
Such a lovely, heartfelt post Marty. Paula truly was an inspiration. Her passing and that of Michelle of The Painted Hinge were great losses. Both ladies were so kind and gave so much to the blogging world.
No no no no no. So unfair.
Thank you Marty! Her blog will be an inspiration for so many battling cancer. I know she is pain free and playing tennis in heaven and walking all those dogs who crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Sharing this on The Weekend Edit because you wrote the words that escaped me this week. xo laura
She truly was a lovely, lovely lady and will be missed…
Paula was one of the sweetest and it is so sad that we had to say goodbye. She was an inspiration to live her life until the very end. She will be missed.
Marty, this is a lovely tribute to Paula. She was a beautiful lady and will be missed.
What a kind an thoughtful post for your to publish, Marty! She was loved dearly, and we will miss her so much. I’ll be sure to pass this on to Dave.
I always so enjoyed Paula’s blog !! I was both shocked and heartened when I read her story of her battle with cancer. This is truly shocking and so sad. I who appreciated her posts that always highlighted family heirlooms of all kinds, from both sides of their family. Sending love and prayers to her friends and family.
Lovely tribute to a lovely woman. She is already so dearly missed.
Sweet triburte Marty. My heart is broken. She was such as light.
I am so sad to learn about Paula’ s passing. I followed her blog and especially enjoyed her Stitch Fix posts. She was always so upbeat despite everything that she was going through. She was truly an inspiration and I know that her loss is being felt significantly in the blogging community. My heart goes out to her friends and family and hope that everyone is doing as well as they can in this difficult time.
Marty, I felt exactly the same about Paula. She was the kindest, bravest, most courageous lady. She fought an amazing battle and she lived ever second of every day. Thank you for sharing this beautiful post about her.
Such sad news that another precious soul has been lost to this horrible wasting disease. Praying for her soul, her family and friends – and for all the people her positive awesomeness inspired. May she rest in peace. I am so sorry, Marty. She will indeed be missed. Hugs. ♥
