I have always loved a front porch. A place to sit and enjoy a cool drink and wave to the neighbors or have them join in for some tea. Our last home had a front porch big enough to sit on, so it was always fun to decorate it. Come Spring it was time to get the Front Porch Cleaned & Fluffed. Time to really clean up the front porch again. Living in Arizona, I reserve the lawn for the backyard and have desert landscaping in the front. Last week I finally got around to giving the front a good cleaning again. Such an ongoing project. I hosed off the front of the house, cleaned windows, and really cleaned the porch. I love it when it looks all fresh and dust-free even if it only lasts about 10 minutes. We have farms about 1/2 mile away from us and they are constantly plowing and planting something. A lot of dust. I sanded and restained the rockers last year, so they still look pretty good. The white garden bench you see is a thrifty find from Big Lots. I decided to paint it and give it some character. Here’s a pic midway. Check out my step-by-step how-to and pictures showing each step here. I love, love the rockers. Can you tell me where they’re from?
Thanks so much. I bought those rockers about 12 years ago and I think they came from Home Depot at the time. It’s been so long I don’t remember.
Your front porch looks beautiful! I keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you greet each new season. I know you must have a lot of hard days but you put such a positive spin on life as it is. Hugs- Diana
Looks great, its #1 on my list as soon as it gets warmer
