I have been blogging for years and way back in the beginning we use to have monthly “Cloche Parties”. Those were so fun and everyone would come up with all kinds of items to turn into a cloche. I still love using a cloche in my decor, but mostly mine are all glass now. I do have several in different sizes, and I use them all the time. I thought I would share 6 Ways To Style Your Kitchen Island Using A Cloche.
I love my kitchen, it is small, but I love how the makeover came out and turned it into something useful and pretty. There are a few things I would have done differently about the design if I had been the architect, however, I love it just the same. My island is small and is between the kitchen area and the breakfast area. I would have turned the kitchen around if I could have (moving plumbing was not in the budget) and had the peninsula next to the breakfast area and the island where the peninsula is. Even so, I love the kitchen and the island is great extra storage and a fun place to create fun kitchen vignettes. (If you want to see my kitchen makeover click here.)
I’ve created dozens of different vignettes on the island, but one of my favorite ways is to create a vignette using a cloche. Here are 6 different ones that I’ve done lately.
I really like this tin stand with the touch of gold on the rim. The cute gold knob on the top of the cloche gives it a ton of class. This vignette was done in the fall using some faux fruit.
A wood cake stand and a really tall glass cloche are always a favorite to work with. This one is large enough I can use some faux bakery items and stack them up high.
A really small dome is a great way to cover up some cheese and fruit.
Using the same tin stand I’ve covered some fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies and added some fall fruit beside my little drunken chef. He shows up a lot in my kitchen vignettes.
Here’s my little chef again next to a pretty “bell” shaped cloche.
Now this isn’t on my island, but a cloche can be used just about anywhere. I love it here on the kitchen table too.
Here’s another favorite way I like to use a cloche. I always showcase my Nativity Scene under this one. It makes the perfect centerpiece to highlight the season.

Pull out those cloches and have some fun. They are a great way to decorate a small spot and make anything look important.
