Memorial Day Shopping – Hobby Lobby & Designer Discount. With almost every store in town having 50% off sales, this was a good weekend to go shopping. I headed to two of my favorite places – Hobby Lobby and Model Home Designer Discount Store. I’ve taken you to the Model Home Discount Store before for a little shopping, however it had been a while since I was there, so time to take a stroll through and see what the designers are doing.
When you enter this place (Furniture Affair @ 7th St. & Bell Rd. – Phoenix), you are amazed at just how big it is. This was my view as I entered.
If I turn the other way, this is what I saw.
Tons of furniture, artwork and accessories. I usually see tons of things I like.
There is always something really unique. See the back of these gray leather tub chairs. They are punched tin. I couldn’t get any closer to get a better picture, but these were so unusual.
After I browsed through and drooled over a ton of things, I headed to Hobby Lobby. I wanted a couple of new pillow covers and some greenery. I found exactly what I was looking for. Here is my haul for the day. All at 50% off. Two teal pillow covers and some flowers from Hobby Lobby and a fabulous tabletop tic-tac-toe set from the Designer store. It was only $12.95.
