I love to see how rooms have evolved, and one of my favorites is a Room Makeover – Before & After. When you walk into a house and see a room for the first time it is always interesting. If that room is empty, I try to envision how it will look all decorated and full of furniture. I try to see how I would arrange my things and how they would fit into the space.
When we bought our home 5 years ago, this is how my living/dining area looked. Two stories that seemed tall and empty. You could see up into the loft and through the arch to the family/kitchen area and then backyard.
If you’ve followed along, then you know that my furniture didn’t translate well in the beginning. After swapping out a few pieces, then a couple of new purchases we finally had a room that feels like us and I love.
At first, I was intimidated by the height and the view into the loft. Now my favorite thing is how open this house feels. You can see upstairs and through the whole downstairs. I love the feeling of everything being open, yet there are separate areas.
Room Makeover – Before & After is always fun, don’t you think? You can see more of the whole house and how it has been transformed with my post – 5th Anniversary In Our New Home – Life Then & Now.
You have great vision! Your house looks lovely and comfortable.
Morning Marty,
You have done a super great job of making your home so warm and welcoming. It was neat to see how the house looked empty and to what you have made it into once you moved in. So lovely………
Hope this finds you doing well……..and Hope you have a lovely 4th of July, hon.
Blessings, nellie
The before and after pictures of your room makeover are impressive. It’s amazing how some simple changes can completely transform a space. Your room now looks like a place where anyone would be happy to spend time, whether for work, relaxation, or socializing. Well done!!
What a stunning transformation! The new colour scheme adds so much warmth and elegance to the space. Those custom curtains are absolutely gorgeous and really elevate the entire room. Well done on creating such a beautiful and inviting area.
