We are only a few weeks away from the 2022 Fall Home Tours. This is when I start to look back at Some Of My Favorite Past Fall Decor and figure out what I would like to do this year. I also think it is fun to see how my style and my room may have changed since then.
This was fun to look back on. This was the last year we lived in our previous home. We had just added the hardwood floors and I had changed out the paint color and added new drapes a while before. I like the leopard combination of pillows and the fun gold and white decor. This room was much more traditional than my current home.
I’ve skipped 2017 and 2018 for this post. I was busy trying to find the right furniture to fit our living room in the new house, so things didn’t really reflect me or my style. By 2019 I had finally found the right furniture arrangement and replaced the huge mirror with one that really fit the room. This house architecturally is more modern in style than my previous home, so now the decor was starting to fit the house too.
I loved the sunshine yellow and some orange for this room. This is so bright and happy. You guys seemed to like it too, it has been on of my most pinned posts.
By 2020 I was beginning to move away from heavy Traditional and more into a Transitional style. I am loving the current soft grays and the less is more approach.
Less fussy, clean and simple feels so right for this home. The modern combination of soft camel and gray is perfect in this room.
Last year I switched up a few pieces of furniture. I brought the leather chair back into the living room for a more masculine feel.
The pillows and accessories are pretty masculine too. Change is fun.
