I have been blogging for years and way back in the beginning we use to have monthly “Cloche Parties”. Those were so fun and everyone would come up with all kinds of items to turn into a cloche. I still love using a cloche in my decor, but mostly mine are all glass now. I do have several in different sizes, and I use them all the time. I thought I would share 6 Ways To Style Your Kitchen Island Using A Cloche.
I love my kitchen, it is small, but I love how the makeover came out and turned it into something useful and pretty. There are a few things I would have done differently about the design if I had been the architect, however, I love it just the same. My island is small and is between the kitchen area and the breakfast area. I would have turned the kitchen around if I could have (moving plumbing was not in the budget) and had the peninsula next to the breakfast area and the island where the peninsula is. Even so, I love the kitchen and the island is great extra storage and a fun place to create fun kitchen vignettes. (If you want to see my kitchen makeover click here.)
I’ve created dozens of different vignettes on the island, but one of my favorite ways is to create a vignette using a cloche. Here are 6 different ones that I’ve done lately.
A wood cake stand and a really tall glass cloche are always a favorite to work with. This one is large enough I can use some faux bakery items and stack them up high.
Now this isn’t on my island, but a cloche can be used just about anywhere. I love it here on the kitchen table too.
