As you all know, I love my kitchen. Since our family room/kitchen/breakfast room is all one long space at the back of the house, I spend a ton of time in this area of our home. I get bored, so I switch things up a lot, but I think that is fun to do. I just finished our 2022 Fall Home Tours where we had 28 amazing homes sharing all their fall decor. I shared my family room and living room so I thought it was time for Adding Fall To The Kitchen.
I love some of my antique kitchen treasures, so I pulled out a few to use for fall. This scale is a favorite. I didn’t use pumpkins, instead, I chose to use fruit that reminds me of Fall. Pomegranates, pears, apples and figs. I mixed in a few grapes too just because I love them. A wheat stalk seem appropriate too.
When you enter the back of the house, the kitchen and breakfast area are on the left and the family room is on the right. I still love how our kitchen remodel turned out. It’s not a huge space, but since we have a huge walk-in pantry, this is more than enough kitchen space.
This back wall area with the range is one of my favorite decorating spots.
My pig cutting board was a gift from a friend years ago, so I love to put it on display.
A thrifted brass tray holds my oils and everyday tools on this side of the range.
I love to bake, so I keep my mixer out all the time. It fits perfectly in this corner. My drunk chef is a favorite accessory that is always out too.
The island in the center gives me extra workspace and is a favorite spot to decorate.
This just seemed like the perfect spot to add the scales.
If you look across the island you see the breakfast table and my antique butter churn in the corner. I pulled out my coffee grinder to add to that space. The antique clock is one in my collection, I have several sprinkled throughout the house.
I am ready for cooler temperatures to get here now. We are getting a little tease, we are waking up to the 80’s so that means Fall really is on the way.
