$1 Store Fall Porch – September Pinterest Challenge

Our porch is not really a porch, it is more of a stoop, but I still want it to be fun and interesting, plus inviting.  For this fall season, I placed a grouping of wheat in the basket on the front door.  The topiaries and rugs are what I usually have there all year long.   As you can see there isn’t room for much, definitely not a bench or chair, however I do like to jazz things up a bit for the different seasons.  I hope you enjoy my $1 Store Fall Porch – September Pinterest Challenge.

Today I am joining a group of friends for the September Pinterest Challenge.  Each month we are given an inspirational photo from our hostess Cindy @ Country Road 407 .  We are given the challenge of doing our version of recreating a similar vignette.  Today we have a gorgeous Fall Porch created by Sugar Maple Farmhouse.    I love her beautiful front porch and she has created such an inviting place to sit and enjoy the views around her.

For this Fall season, I thought I would mix a little bit of Fall and Halloween. I kept the topiaries, greenery, rug, and mat that I normally use, I just added a few things to bring in the spirit of Halloween.   Enjoy my $1 Store Fall Porch.

I don’t go all out, but I do like to add a few seasonal items.  I shopped the house and then picked up a few things from the Dollar Tree and our porch is ready for the season.  I did a similar porch a couple of years ago and thought it was so fun, I decided to repeat most of it again this year.

A black cat and spider are the only new items, everything else I had in my stash from past years.  My Happy Jack-o-lantern has been a favorite for years.  I love his toothy grin.  The bottle crate is one I’ve had for years too.

This little skeleton crow is nestled in the topiary.   A really subtle addition that you don’t quite notice at first.

A spider and his web are clinging to the side of the wall.

Black cats are supposed to be bad luck, this one is trying to get in the house.  I need to keep that door closed. haha  I am enjoying the basket on the door instead of a wreath.  Something different makes a great statement.

This was such a fun challenge.  If you came over from The Ponds Farmhouse welcome.  I am sure you loved her amazing cozy front porch as much as I did.

Next, be sure to check out Lora Bloomquist.  She always manages to surprise me with her genius designs, so I can’t wait to see what she has for use.

Marty, What an adorable Halloween porch! I have a soft heart for cats so that black cat at the bottom of the door is fabulous!
