Merry Christmas From Our House To Yours. The big day is finally here and I think we are all ready. As I look around the house I love seeing all the glitter and glow of Christmas.
2022 Christmas Home Tour – My Home
I am finishing up the pies this morning to take to my daughter’s house for our Christmas Eve get-together. (This one is a coconut. You can see my recipe for Easiest Pies Ever here. )
This is where I am, messing up the kitchen making 4 pies. We will need three for tonight at my daughter’s and then one tomorrow for Christmas day here.
I couldn’t resist this rolling pin when I saw it. Losing Jim and Chuck over the last two years has been hard, so I am slowly learning to roll with the punches.
You can see all the rooms in the back of the house here.
2022 Christmas – The Back Of The House
The breakfast table is set for Christmas morning.
As a family, we all go to early church, then back to my daughter’s house for our Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange. (We draw names since there are so many of us.) This was our Christmas in 2019 with all the family together. Covid made our 2020 and 2021 much smaller. This year we will only be a gathering of 8. This is the year for some families to spend it with their inlaws.
However last Sunday we did have an early Christmas so we could share some time with those that would be out of town on Christmas Day. The fun mess of Christmas.
Grandchildren are so fun and this little guy is always so willing to pose for Grandma. (He had a nasty fall the day before, so he has a couple of boo-boos._
Today we will go to Early Church then back to my Daughter’s house for dinner and a gift exchange with more family. The group may be small – only 8 of us – but it will be filled with tons of love and laughter.
My prayer this year is for everyone to be able to enjoy Christmas with all their loved ones and remember the ones we’ve lost and were so blessed to have in our lives. Missing Jim and Chuck with all my heart.
