Need something fun to surprise your special Valentine? Today I am joining a group of ladies sharing their favorite way to enjoy Valentine’s Day. I love to do something special for my loved ones. I use to make special treats or find special gifts for my children when they were small, but now I like to do something for my grandson. My little 5-year-old grandson loves special treats, so I thought I would make him his very own Smores Dip in a tiny iron skillet. These are so good and make a special treat so easy to create.
Valentine Pinterest Challenge – S’mores Dip.
If you are coming over from Our Southern Home – Welcome. I can’t wait to try her Strawberry and Cream Cheese Dessert.
Anything you serve in small individual skillets always looks special. My little grandson especially thinks so. I was looking for something that I knew he would really like and since doing Smore’s outside wasn’t going to happen, I thought we could make some inside with a twist. Maybe a dip.
So easy to make – just add the chocolate chips to the bottom of your little cast iron skillet. Add a tablespoon of butter – cook over medium heat to melt the chocolate. Stir until smooth.
Place mini marshmallows all over top.
Place in 400-degree oven until marshmallows are melting and toasty brown. Be careful not to burn.
When they are toasty brown place the skillet on a rack to cool. Add a few strawberries to dip along with your graham crackers.
Now take a small section of graham cracker and scoop up some fun. So yummy and soooooooooooooo good.
All that’s left to do is just watch his little face as he enjoys every bite.
