Are you like me and every once in a while you just get tired of how a room looks and you want to move things around? I don’t have a lot of flexibility as to where certain furniture pieces go, but I want to change things up a bit. Spring Home Tour #2 – Moving Furniture Around.
My office is upstairs and this is the view I have from my desk. I always like to see something different. The only place I can put a sofa in this room is where it currently is. Time to change things up, so I swapped the sofa in the family room with the sofa in the living room. Musical sofas and now both rooms look different.
This sofa is small and more straight-lined than the previous one I had here. I love how it gives the room a totally different feel.
The color is also a little more beige or off-white than the previous sofa.
Here is the sofa that I’ve had here. Definitely more traditional than this one. (you can see this whole tour here.)
I love the look of this more modern one for a change. Gives the room a whole new vibe. Spring Home Tour #2 – Moving Furniture Around.
Doesn’t take too much to make me happy. haha I think I’ll keep things this way for a while.
I love moving furniture around. And ovethe new look. I like your switch. Seems the right sofa is in the right place!
This room always looks beautiful! Every now and then I get the urge to move things around and it’s amazing how fresh it makes things feel!

It looks gorgeous! Happy day!
Marty, it is amazing how just switching a few things around can totally change a space!
Thanks for sharing and inspiring me. I have a fairly small space and recently moved my dining table and chairs, looks much better, I think. Also thinking about either two small loveseats and a chair, or a smaller sectional and a chair, for my tiny living room. Right now I have a sofa, loeseat and chair and it just fels crowded, awkward. Thanks again, your new look is brilliant!
Thanks so much, it really is hard when rooms are on the smaller size. My home is built that way too, so as you could see, not many way to move furniutre around in this room. Marty
I can think if two or even three places the couch could be moved to. I think a bookcase or two on the solid wall would afford opportunities galore for books and pretty pieces. Plus creating a cute cozy reading library vibe vs looking out into the walk way from front door. Glare from bright windows makes chatting with company difficult, for me anyway. A pretty round rug would change things in a new arrangement too. Fun to dream up ideas.
I sure wish I could get back on your mailing list. Don’t Know why I quit getting your posts. I miss them.
