Easy Easter Dinner & Dessert. I love to entertain and I love to cook for my family, so any time there is a Holiday, I always sign up to host or at least bring something. Most often my family asks me to bring dessert if I am not hosting. That suits me fine. I love to bake, so dreaming up something that I know my family will love is always fun.
This year we will be going to my daughter’s house for Easter Egg Hunt for the grands and dinner after church. We will have the normal fair of Ham with all the sides and I will bring the Pies. We all love pie and I have the most amazing recipe that will make several different flavors. I will be taking Chocolate and Coconut this Sunday. I have published this recipe several times, but it is always a great repeat. This one shows the step-by-step directions if you think you can’t make a pie. It is really easy if you see how it is done. So check out this Tutorial for The Easiest Pie Ever Really.
Several years ago I shared how to create a great meal for 12 with little to no fuss. Of course, the prices I share in this post are way better than today’s, but the principle is the same. You can host a gathering for your family and friends without being stressed with just a little planning. Now if we could only do it today for $18 that would really be amazing. Do Ahead Dinner For 12 Under $18. The steps here are to show you how to prepare ahead and enjoy the day with your family.
While you’re at it, you can create a simple tablescape with simple everyday items. Here is one I revised the other day, just using my everyday flatware, simple 99c plates, and a fun Bunny Soup Tureen that I’ve had for a while.
This Bunny Soup Tureen is such a whimsical piece, it always grabs everyone’s attention. Adding a couple of small plants and some carrots for the Bunny is all I did to create the centerpiece.
Things don’t have to be fancy to be fun. Just enjoy yourself and your company will too.
Happy Easter and God Bless. A time to remember our Lord and Thank Him for all your Blessings.
Great ideas, thanks Marty and God Bless you and your family.
Sure love that bunny soup tureen centerpiece. SO cute! And thx for the pie recipe.
Wishing you happy Easter blessings, Marty. Big hugs. ♥
