Spring Door Basket – April Pinterest Challenge. I love joining Cindy @ County Road 407 monthly for her fun Pinterest Challenge. She gets a bunch of gals together to create a simulation of a photo she finds on Pinterest. We all see how we can recreate something similar from the inspiration photo. It’s so fun to see all the amazing ideas everyone comes up with.
Our inspiration picture this month is from Sanctuary Home Decor. She shared a picture of a fun simple spring door basket she added to the inside of her kitchen door. I love the casual assortment of colorful flowers she used to add a bright spot of color and welcome the outside in.
I don’t have a pretty door in my kitchen, I have sliding glass doors between the family room and kitchen, so I thought the front door and porch could use a little Spring refresh. My front porch is really just a stoop, but I still like to have something pretty by the door.
I have a bin full of flowers, so I thought maybe I could find something perfect just by digging through and seeing what I had. White, pink, and purple seemed like a fun assortment. So I mixed a big bouquet together and created a fun Spring Door Basket.
Isn’t it funny how a picture shows a thousand flaws? I think I need to hunt for some brighter flowers and a new rug. This one is looking really sad.

Ok, we have a problem, lol! I’ve spent way too much time here today. Your gorgeous basket led me down a rabbit hole of other blogs, every one of them with something special. I have subscribed to at least 5, going back later to probably go for many more. I loved yours the best, so far…I really appreciate that you share reasonably done, simple home updates. While I love the major home makeovers on some blogs, at this point in my life, I need inexpensive fun updates that don’t require saws, drills and a $100,000 or more. Funny, I recently found a pretty little hanging basket at a local thrift store, $2.50, and have filled it with some faux daffodils, etc that I had. Love it. Thanks for making me remember that I can make a big change for very little money and effort.
How fun, thank you so much for such gracious comments. I am with you. I don’t need to makeover everything, just have fun tweaking a few things to create different looks without reinventing the wheel. So glad you got your basket out and filled it with some pretty flowers. That’s so fun.
