I am so excited to be starting off our 2023 Summer Home Tours. This week I will be joined by 26 amazing ladies that are opening the doors to their homes to share their Summer Decor. Each of these homes is filled with tons of inspiration that you will be able to use as you decorate your own homes. One of the things I love the most about these tours is how unique each house is and how each lady’s personal style is presented. Welcome to the 2023 Summer Home Tour – My Home.
When I start to switch things out for the different seasons, I often like to look back to see how I decorated for the past few years. I shared this post with you, showing how my living room was decorated for Summer for the past 5 years. I was surprised to see that I had used Blue and White as my color scheme every year. Each year my combination of pillows and accessories was a little different, but Blue and White were the themes.
This year I am going to turn things around and embrace some of my favorite warm colors. Camel and Gray are so pretty together and a combination that I love. I also like that the combination is soft and easy, perfect for the laid-back days of Summer.
I guess I should welcome you at the front door. You enter our home directly into the living room. I have a small console and chair on the two story wall that serves as our entrance.
Perfect spot to drop your keys and packages as you enter.
The seating and dining areas are positioned on the other side of the room.
The marble tile on the floors is a soft mix of beige, camel, and cream. The perfect backdrop for my camel and gray color scheme.
I love the different textures in each of the pillows and the way the colors blend.
The white chair in the corner seems to be the place where I take off my shoes and drop my hat and purse when I come in. So I didn’t pick them up, this is real life.
I kept the coffee table simple, just a basket holding a pretty plant, marble column and bead rope.
I continued the same camel colors for the dining area.
A simple centerpiece with plants and candles. The napkins for each place setting are plaid with camel and gray.
That’s it for my Summer Living Room.
Next let’s take a look at the Master Bedroom.
If you are like me, the minute you clean your bedroom, you start thinking about changes. I love it when the floors are vacuumed, the furniture is dusted and fresh clean linens are on the bed straight out of the washer and dryer. It just seems to make the whole room special. Every week when I strip everything down and clean every corner, my favorite part is looking around and swapping out a few accessories.
I love the soft camel linens I am using on my bed at the moment and I am not ready to change them out, but swapping a few accessories seemed like a good idea.
I love to swap out the decor on the dresser. A pretty ivory box and my favorite picture of Jim and me are all I needed. I also added a couple of pretty green plants on the nightstands too.
The ottoman under the window is so handy next to the closet door. Perfect place to sit down and put my shoes on. The plant adds a little texture and interest to the corner too.
This great headboard is still one of my favorite thrifty finds. I found it at Hotel Liquidators. You can read all about it and how I made it over here. The little girl painting was another great bargain. Remember when they use to have those Starving Artist Sales? That’s where I found her.
I love the pretty sunlight this room gets, it always looks like a happy room to me. Small changes, but just enough to make it feel different.

I would have never thought about camel and gray for summer decor, Marty, but it SO works! The camel reminds me of the sandy beaches, and the gray reminds me of the beginning of summer, with its overcast days! Love the textured woven pillows in the living room, and the tassel pillows in the bedroom. Do you have sources for those? Pinned, twice! 😉 Thanks for getting this lovely tour together!
Thanks so much. I found botht he texture camel pillows in theliving room and the tasselpillows years ago Not sure where I got them. Marty

You have such a beautiful and inviting home! Could I get the warm white paint color for your walls?
The whole house is painted Swiss Coffee. I love it, just the perfect soft white and goes with any colors. Thanks for the gracious comment.
Beautiful Marty!
Beautiful as always. Do you have any photos of your kitchen? My home has a similar color scheme with some old cabinets. I’ve been wanting to get cabinet painting in Syracuse , UT. I would love to know what yours looks like before I begin!
