I love joining Cindy @ County Road 407 monthly for her fun Pinterest Challenge. She gets a bunch of gals together and shows them an inspirational picture she finds on Pinterest. We all see how we can recreate something similar from the inspiration photo. It’s so fun to see all the amazing ideas everyone comes up with. This is what she’s given us for June. Flag Day – June Pinterest Challenge.
If you’re coming over from Laura @ Decor to Adore, welcome. I love how she uses white lace and those amazing linen flags. I know you will too.
Liz Marie created this very patriotic flag display. She used some vintage rafia wrapped wine bottles to hold her assortment of American flags. So simple and yet so heartwarming.
Since the 4th of July is right around the corner, I thought I would create my inspirational photo as a tablescape for the 4th of July.
I don’t have any antique flags or rafia-covered wine bottles, but I do have an assortment of small and large flags and three rope-wrapped bottles that worked. They were perfect to create a centerpiece for my table.
My place settings are really simple. White plates, blue and white bread plates, and red napkins create a simple red white, and blue setting.
I love using two runners on my harvest table in the breakfast room. I think it adds interest and pattern to the table and is perfect to hold the chargers.
I love how simply the bottles are holding all the flags. Nothing fancy, just love our American Flag.
I love to switch things up to see how different a table could look. I thought I’d change up the napkin and place it under the bread plate instead of having it folded. I like it both ways. Fun to see how different ways of using the napkin can be.
Check out how I used flags for my Memorial Day Pool Party too.
Next up is Lora Bloomquist. I know you are going to love how she’s styled her patriotic hutch. She has such a knack of how to take vintage to the next step.

Marty, I love the small raffia-covered jars you used in place of Liz’s larger wine jugs ~ perfect for a smaller design touch!! It is fun to play around with pieces. I did that last week for my Flag Day Tea with the napkins. Love how you’ve set your table!!!!

I just love your idea of using 2 runners instead of separate placemats, Marty. Now I need to remember to buy 2 at a time! Pretty tablescape!
