This is a post I put together a couple of years ago when Covid was running wild and we all had to stay home. I was so bored and needed to have something fun going on. I put together a fun day for just Jim and I. I am repeating this same table and menu this year for my son and I. Just a fun day for the two of us. The rest of the family has plans, so he and I are going to hang out and enjoy the day together. 4th of July Backyard Fun.
To start off with – a trip to the Dollar Tree for some fun 4th decorations for the yard and table. I didn’t go way overboard, just enough to get the feeling of the 4th. Can you see the flags around the pool, they’re not very big, but they do wave in the wind.
Red napkins and some blue and white plates, some sparklers, and a pinwheel. Just enough to say 4th of July.
Now that the table is set, let’s plan the menu.
BBQ Chicken
Baked Beans
Pasta Salad
Iced Tea
Wine
Peach Pie

Happy 4th of July.
All that’s left to do is grab my bathing suit and add some floaties to the pool. I plan on floating half the day away. How about you, what are your plans?
What a perfect way to spend the day! And your decor is so lovely and festive! Great menu and the pie looks amazing. Happy Fourth!
Minimally perfect decor!
Hope you spend this 4th July with your fam!
Cheers!
What a lovely table setting! I like that it’s the patriotic colors, but not patriotic prints so it’s something some may already have at home.
