Refreshing The Kitchen

We had such a great 4th of July. Now it’s time to change the decor. Refreshing The Kitchen is one of my favorite things to do. I love switching things up.

I loved spending time with family and eating tons of dips, chips, ribs, and all my favorite sides.  Watching the kids in the pool is always a favorite, they are such little swimmers and water babies.  Holidays with family are always the best.

I still love my kitchen.  It’s not big, but it functions so well for me and our makeover turned out better than I hoped.  If you are new here, you can see that complete makeover here.

I don’t keep a lot out on the counters, just basics that I use most every day.

This is the workhorse area of my kitchen.  I love my granite and the pretty marble backsplash.  Everything seems to happen between the sink and the range.

This rolling pin says it all for me.  My life the past 21/2 years had been one trial after the other, so learning to lean on the Lord and Roll With The Punches is perfect.

This pretty tray that I found at Goodwill one day holds all my day-to-day necessities, plus it is such a pretty piece.  The glass vase holding all my spoons is a really fun DIY Project you can do too.  Check out all the details here, (Would you believe it’s done with tape?}

This corner houses my mixer, a couple of favorite cutting boards and a pretty lemon bouquet for summer.

The island is where I usually have a little fun.  The pretty flower bouquet was a gift from my daughter on the 4th and of course, my little drunken chef just makes me happy to look at him.  A simple tray vignette is usually all I have on the island.

The breakfast eating area is right behind the island, so I created a new tablescape for summer.

This is the tablescape we had for the 4th of July, I loved the flags, but time to put them away.

A change of napkins and a simple flower and candle centerpiece was all it took to refresh this area.

I seem to change this area often, so it will probably change again soon, but for now it looks and feels like summer to me.

      Love your kitchen redo. I think many of us have had to “roll with the punches” of this life here. This is not our forever home AND I cannot wait to go soon!!! I do believe it will be very soon!!! Enjoy your pretty kitchen.
