10 Minute Patio Cleanup

Our temperatures have been above 110° for over 18 straight days, so working on the patio or backyard has taken a back seat to anything else.  I manage to go from the back door to the pool and then back inside again without melting, so that is about as far as I’ve been.  (Oh, I have been watering the garden very, very early in the morning and way after the sun goes down.)  The patio has become a mess quickly, so time for a 10 Minute Patio Cleanup before company arrives.

When it’s this hot, you put on your bathing suit, jump in the pool, then get out and work for a couple of minutes, then back into the pool.  That’s fun, but being in the pool is more fun, so that’s why this cleanup was about 10 minutes.

I didn’t change up a lot, just some fresh pillows and accessories.  The previous pillows I had out here had really faded, so they needed to retire.  The pato was also in need of a good cleaning.  I got out the leaf blower and blew everything off.  That was the fastest way I knew to clean this place up.

I thought I would just keep things on the soft neutral side, so some gray and white pillows

and a fun gray plaid throw blanket.  ( See that poor struggling palm, I forgot to water it for a week, so it is hurting.  It’s still alive, so I am now giving it some tender loving care. )

A small pot of summer flowers and a metal column for the coffee table made everything fresh.

This is a small space, so it is really easy to change things up.  Here are a few previous looks throughout the seasons.

Pretty much I can change up the patio with a simple 10 Minute Patio Cleanup anytime.  I just need to do it more often.
