Late Summer – Early Fall Door Wreath

I am so thrilled to be joining Cindy @ County Road 407 for the July Pinterest Challenge.  She hosts this fun linkup every month and gives us all an inspirational picture to translate into our own style and design.  This is always such a fun party.  I am sharing a Late Summer – Early Fall Door Wreath as my interpretation.

Welcome to the July 2023 Pinterest Challenge Party.

This is the wonderful Inspiration Picture we were all given.  It’s a beautiful DIY Boxwood Wreath that Courtnay from The Creek Line House made.  You can see her step-by-step tutorial here.  She hung her wreath on the door of her back porch.

If you came over from DIY Beautify welcome.  I know you are going to enjoy her oversized wreath and how she put it together.

Since I live in the Arizona Desert in Phoenix, boxwood doesn’t really thrive in my area, so I had to get creative.  I have a couple of fun boxwood wreaths that I use at Christmas, but I wanted something new.  Off to find a new faux boxwood wreath to use.  It’s amazing that so many stores are already beginning to showcase sections of Christmas and I couldn’t find a plain simple boxwood wreath anywhere.  Finally, at the last stop that I made, I found this fun little 10-in wreath at At Home.

This is pretty small for a door wreath, but I think I can fluff it up a bit and make it work.  I’ve had a door basket on the front door for a while now, so a wreath would be perfect.

I dug around in my faux flower stash and found a few things that I thought would work –  some plaid ribbon, and I am in business.

Our porch is a small recessed area, so I like to have something bright to lighten up the area.  These colors play well with the tan color of our house.  I also think these colors are perfect for Late Summer – Early Fall.

This small little wreath works just fine with the added florals and bow, it doesn’t look too small at all.  I love it when a plan turns out good.

Up next is Laura @ Decor To Adore.  I know you will love her pretty wreath and how she put it all together.  She has unlimited talent, so you will be inspired.

Oh, Marty that is simply charming on your front door. The grass and bow do give it the larger presence you were after. So smart to do it that way!
