Easy 10 Minute Patio Cleanup For Fall. Our temperatures have been above 110° for over a month, so working on the patio or backyard has taken a back seat to anything else. I manage to go from the back door to the pool and then back inside again without melting, so that is about as far as I’ve been. (Oh, I have been watering the garden very, very early in the morning and way after the sun goes down.) With a change in the temperature (We’re at around 95 to 100 now), I want to enjoy the patio.
When it’s above 100 you put on your bathing suit, jump in the pool, then get out and work for a couple of minutes, then back into the pool. It’s just too hot to do much work outside and way too hot to enjoy the patio.
The previous pillows I had out here had really faded, so they needed to retire. The pato was also in need of a good cleaning. I got out the leaf blower and blew everything off. That was the fastest way I knew to clean this place up.
We really don’t need any cover, just something soft to sit on. I thought I would just keep things on the soft neutral side, so some gray and white pillows.
and a fun gray plaid throw blanket. ( See that poor struggling palm, I forgot to water it for a week, so it is hurting. It’s still alive, so I am now giving it some tender loving care. )
A small pot of summer flowers and a metal column for the coffee table made everything fresh.
This is a small space, so it is really easy to change things up. Here are a few previous looks throughout the seasons.
Pretty much I can change up the patio with a simple 10 Minute Patio Cleanup anytime. I just need to do it more often.
Love the boho pillow and the pretty rug!
Hello Marty
Your patio look great! I don’t know how you handle those awful temperatures in the summertime. Thank goodness you have a pool. It’s feeling like Fall where we live finally. This summer is one for the books!
Thanks for all you do! Appreciate you!
Everything looks so fresh and welcoming! And I really like the softness and privacy the curtains add to your patio. I’d like to do that as well. Appreciate all the great decor tips you share. And the pool sounds like such a wonderful escape from your intense heat. Enjoy!
Looks great. Hopefully, you will get a break soon. What happened to the curtains? I always like the way they were hung. My Command hooks rusted with my method.

The wind kept tearing them down, so I finally took them down. I liked them too. I really need to try a new pair. Marty
Marty, this is a wonderful outdoor space and I love the gray accents! I’m sure you’ll be enjoying it more as it cools off. Happy Fall!
Can you share any pro tips for preventing leaves from piling up on the patio again so quickly? I love the idea of a quick cleanup, but I feel like I’m constantly battling falling leaves during the fall season!
