New Rug Ideas For My Living Room,

New Rug Ideas For My Living Room.  My living room and dining room are all one long room with two-story ceilings. I like to separate the two areas with a rug. I have been using this fabulous outdoor rug, which I love for its asymmetrical design.  It’s beginning to look a little tired, so it’s time for a new rug.  I want a pattern of some kind, just not sure if I want any color, or keep it simple.  I also want to use a 6 x 9 size instead of a 5 x 7.

Here is what I have been using for the last 6 years.  I still love this rug, it works so well with my floors and design, just time for a refresh.

Here are a few rugs that I am considering as a replacement.

Chunky Plaid Indoor-Outdoor Rug in Beige.

Plaid would be so up to date and fun for a change.  I like that it has different shades of beige, brown and soft camel.  With a few changes in accessories, this one could bring more of that old world look to my room.

Jute Harlequin Trellis Rug in Gray.

This gray and beige rug is super chic.  Love this one too.  This one would give my orom more of an upscale look.

Mae Traverse Stripe Rug in Gray

This one has the most contemporary feel.  I really like it for how different it is.

Melrose Checked Rug

I love the checks.  This one is pretty up close, not sure how it would look from a distance.

You have to see this one up close.  I love the checks.

Loloi Christ Loves Julia Judy Collection.

This is anoher plaid that I really like.

There are dozens more to choose from, but these really seemed to fit my room and decor.  Which one do you like best?

I like the first one, the chunky plaid. But if it was me, I would go for a pretty floral:) I know whatever you do will look great!

They are all great. Hard to tell, but I would be sure the size of the pattern doesn’t match the coffee table legs. It needs to stand out in my opinion.

My personal favorite is the Mae Traverse Stripes Rug. I am 68 and find as I get older I like contemporary looks more I used to. They add a modern touch when mixed with more classic pieces.
