Favorite Super Bowl Party Recipes

Favorite Super Bowl Party Recipes.  I can’t wait for Super Bowl.  I love football and this is the big finale, so of course, there has to be a party and tons of good things to eat.  We seem to make it a whole day of snacking, not a meal, just tons of Tapas.  This is a similar menu we seem to have every year.

I love having all kinds of snacks that go in the oven and then a few that I make from scratch.  I call this a Semi-Homemade party.

Keyword: Prime Rib Sliders
Servings: 12 rolls
Author: Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life

Ingredients

  • 1 Pkg Hawaiian Sweet Rolls 12
  • 1 Lb. sliced deli prime rib roast beef
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 Pkg. Aus Juice mix

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.  Prepare Au Jus mix according to package instructions.  Slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls into.  You will have 12 tops and 12 bottoms still joined together.  Place the bottoms in a baking dish.  Pour a small amount of au jus over them, do not drown them.  Add 1 large slice of prime rib to each roll and then top with a slice of provolone cheese.  Spoon a little more of the au jus over the tops of the rolls.  Bake uncovered until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.  When done, cut them apart into 12 separate rolls.  Serve with the rest of the au jus in a bowl for dipping.

Notes

These are great for any gathering and so easy to make.  I keep the ingredients on hand all the time so I can make some in minutes.

Taco WonTon Appetizer.  This one is a no-brainer.  So easy to put together and fill with your favorite recipe.  I do mine with taco fixings, but you can do them with Shrimp, Crab or any other kind of filling you like.  Taco WonTon Appetizer Cups.

Another really easy recipe and definitely one my family loves for any occasion.   Won Tons.

You can make these ahead of time, just freeze and cook what you need.  (Some think this is hard, so I am giving you the step by step instructions so you will see how easy these really are.)

Beat one egg in a bowl and set aside to use when wrapping the won tons.

Place a small spoonful in the center of the won ton skin –

Roll up from one corn about 3/4 of the way – –

Dip fingers in egg wash and rub on the two ends to moisten, then stick them together in sort of a bow fashion.

Place them on a cookie sheet and put in the freezer.

When they re frozen, package them up in freezer bags in a single layer – about 25 to the bag – and return to the freezer.  This recipe makes about 75.

Place frozen a few at a time in deep hot oil and fry until golden brown.  These are small, so don’t over cook.  Serve with salsa or ketchup as a dip.

Here’s my secret to semi-homemade.  All of these wonderful goodies can be cooked up really easy in the oven.

That’s it, while all your store-bought Tapas and Sliders are cooking in the oven, fry up your won tons and then place everything on pretty platters.  Fill a large bowl with fried rice, arrange your dips and chips, and you are done.  Let everyone help themselves to a large bucket filled with sodas, beer, and wine.  Now just relax and enjoy the game.
