A Whole House Spring Refresh

I think we all feel like the world has come to life when Spring rolls around.  Bright sunshine, pretty flowers, and warm wonderful long days are just the best.  I love Decorating For Spring.  I love all the warm colors and they really do work the best in my home.  A  Whole House Spring Refresh.

I have beige marble tile, medium dark hardwood floors, and carpet with flecks of brown, gray, and cream, so warm tones just fit in.  I also really love soft camels, grays, and cream colors.  When I pick a color scheme for one room, sometimes I like to carry the same colors throughout the whole house.

When I put the living room together with soft camel and gray, that seemed like the perfect combination to carry throughout the whole house.

The kitchen and breakfast area are next to the living room area, so they received a little summer decor too.  Still using my favorite camel, gray and white colors.

A bucket full of summer flowers looks so welcoming on the breakfast table.

The buck reflects my gray color and the napkins are camel and gray plaid.

I like to continue my decor upstairs too.

The Girl Cave/Office/Loft is always a fun place to decorate.  I spend a ton of time in here, one of my favorite spaces in the house.  Camel colors are perfect in this room too.

The Guest Bedroom gets switched out a lot.  The headboard and the painting both have gray in them, so I accented with the yellow in the painting.

The Master Bedroom and Bathroom.  Since I spend so much time here every day, these spaces get switched around a lot.

I did a refresh in the master bathroom the other day that showcased my soft grays, with touches of gold that remind me of camel colors.

The master bedroom is open to the bathroom, so I like for them to complement each other.  My headboard has tones of camel, dark gray, and black in the upholstery, so using camel as the main color is my favorite.  I do have a number of different camel quilts, throw pillows, and throw blankets that I like to use from time to time.

This is a favorite color scheme for SPring.  To me, this just looks so fresh and inviting.  I love the all-white with the camel quilt at the foot of the bed.

This simple combination of pillows adds just a touch of color to the bed for another all white look.   When it is really hot, a quilt at the foot of the bed seems like too much.

I found this fun printed quilt at Target.  It’s great to change things up for a different look.

This is a really soft linen lightweight quilt that will be perfect for Spring and into Summer.  The pattern brightens up the room too.

Pick a color scheme that you love and spread it around the whole house.  It’s great to walk from room to room and feel like each space is connected in a small way.

Beautiful and so cohesive. When is spring there before the intensive heat ? Here we get fall and spring the same time. When spring leaves pop out, the old leaves fall off.
Did you find a new sofa ? Would you believe you can buy a sofa thru Walmart now ? Third party vendors. One I liked was over $3000. A similar one was around $800. I like to see, feel and sit on a sofa before buying. The search continues.
      Hoping you are well.

You have exquisite taste in furnishings and decorative items. I admire the cohesive approach to using neutrals, especially for furniture pieces. You can swap out different accent colors during the seasons, if you wish. My house is a conglomeration of things collected over decades, with family stuff mixed in. I have toyed with the idea of redoing everything, but ultimately, I guess what I have speaks to my soul in some way. I will live vicariously through your home, if that is okay.

Thanks so much. My home is also filled with a lot of hand me downs and things I’ve found at Goodwill and thrift shopping. I love it all, it is home to me. Thanks so much for the gracious comments.
