Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day

It’s amazing how much one person can leave such a legacy of love for her entire family.  Both my parents were amazing people.  We talk about them so often and are always saying “as grandma would say” and then quote one of her favorite sayings.  We do the same with my father, Pappy.  These two people were the cornerstone of our family and still are.  They have both been at home with the Lord for many years now.  I love the way all of my children remember them and talk about them – their memory is so alive in our home.

This is one of my favorite pictures.  My parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Starting from the left my nephew David, nephew Butch, Mother, my daughter Kelly, Father, my son Chuck and my son Kent.

These young people are all grown up now with their own families, but it warms my heart to hear them talk about Grandma and Pappy to their children.  Such a loving tribute to two amazing people.

Miss you both – Happy Mother’s Day Mom!
