Consignment Shopping (After Stay At Home) With the “Stay At Home” order lifted on Friday, a lot of stores in our area opened for business. One of my favorite stores is Furniture Affair – Furniture Affair is an upscale home furniture store specializing in the resale of Model Home Furniture and Designer Closeouts at discount prices. I always find the most amazing furniture and accessories. This place is amazing and the prices are amazing too.
The minute you walk in the door there is something to see and catch your eye.
All of the pillows displayed on the furniture are for sale and then they have a big corner full of cubes holding more pillows and bedding.
All of the furniture and accessories you see in this store are for sale. This place is over 1200 SF and it is stuffed to the brim.
This is not the kind of store you can see in a few minutes, this takes a couple of hours at least.
Some of my favorite purchases are – this amazing leather chair. (My daughter actually bought this one as her desk chair and then changed her mind and gave it to me. Cost $120) Check out my Family Room Makeover here.
I bought the mate to this chair but mine had gray upholstery. $99 You can see the entry makeover here. This style chair is so classic and goes with any decor. I think it upped the chic factor of my entry about a thousand percent.
I found two of these wonderful wicker chairs there -$55 ea.
I’ve also purchased numerous accessories and pillows from there. One of my favorites are these amazing candle holders. $55 pair The way the candles are suspended is so unique and so interesting. Several of my lamps came from there also. I always find the most unique gifts too.
Consignment Shopping (After Stay At Home) seemed like an outing for sure. It was nice to be out and about and enjoy a bit of “normal” while still observing the distance rules. I met a friend and we enjoyed spending time together as we browsed through At Home and Furniture Affair. It was so nice to see her and visit, I had missed our outings so much. I brought home a new pillow and she found a couple of treasures too. This made for a perfect day.

Oh I agree, I love both of those stores. I was shocked to see that Pier One was empty and out of business. Amazing how fast they cleared out. Marty

Wow looks great. I see a few things I would love in there. We are not opened up here in Illinois. Our numbers are beginning to go down but we will stay closed for another month for stores and two months for restaurants. Small business like salons will open June 1st but not much else besides the grocery stores and home improvements. Our governor is being very cautious so this does not start back up to high numbers again by opening things up too soon. Please stay safe with them opening already.

So happy to read people are getting out a bit. Our antique mall reopened 5/11, and with 18,000 sq ft and 3 floors + mezzanine, it’s the perfect venue for self-distancing. Stay well, be safe.
