Summer Master Bedroom

Summer is here, time to spruce up things a little.  I am getting ready for our 2020 Summer Home Tours next week.  30 of your favorite blogs opening the doors to their homes over 5 days to share their summer decor.  Of course, I had to freshen up the master bedroom a little too.  Come on into my Summer Master Bedroom. 

 

I’ve been in a less is more mood for a while.  At the same time I have been loving black and white and that seems to work well for our Master Bedroom.  We get beautiful light in here from that huge 9 ft. window, so I really don’t need a lot of color to brighten the room up.

The white quilt and shams are constants all year long.  I usually add some color, but when I found these abstract black and white pillow covers I had to have them.  Black and White always look chic and upscale.  A simple and classic color scheme that works.  My thrifted headboard is such a focal point, not much else is needed.  You can see how I refinished and painted it here. 

 

I’m trying more and more to remember to wear a hat if I am outside in the yard for a longer period of time.  This staw one is my favorite.  If I keep it handy to grab I am more likely to remember, besides it makes a pretty decoration for the bed. 

Simple, easy, and just enough for a simple Summer Master Bedroom.
