With all of us being advised to stay at home as much as possible, it is getting to be kind of boring. Since we can’t have a party with tons of people over, we can have a party with “JUST US”. Time to get the pool ready and set the table for a fun day swimming, BBQing and having fun.
To start off with, a trip to the Dollar Tree for some fun 4th decorations for the yard and table. I didn’t go way overboard, just enough to get the feeling of the 4th. Can you see the flags around the pool, they’re not very big, but they do wave in the wind.
Red napkins and some blue and white plates, some sparklers, and a pinwheel. Just enough to say 4th of July.
Now that the table is set, let’s plan the menu.
BBQ Chicken
Baked Beans
Pasta Salad
Iced Tea
Wine
Peach Pie

All that’s left to do is grab my bathing suit and add some floaties to the pool. I plan on floating half the day away. How about you, what are your plans?
A perfect setting for a low-keyed holiday this year! You’re making me wish we had a pool with this heat we’re having.
Hi Marty. Your table setting is beautiful. It is a weird 4 th this year I think for all of us. No fireworks either. 😞. Have a good day in the pool. xoxo
Thanks, hope you have a good day. It is such a weird time for sure. I will be so glad when this is all over. Marty
Our 3 year old granddaughter is coming to play and swim with Nana and Papa and have a sleepover so Mom and Dad can have an adult day on the Lake. She’s asked for hot dogs and cookies … a perfect combo for the little Princess.
This sounds like so much fun. Enjoy your time with her, they grow so fast. Marty
Marty – great idea as usual! Curious — the smaller blue plate source? Was that Dollar Tree or somewhere else! Good looking!
I found them at Home Goods. It’s one of those sets they have bundled together @ 4 for $7.99. I like to add color with just a salad plate and keep all the main dishes white. Easier to change things up and not have so many dishes. Happy 4th Marty
It is hard to believe the space we see today, at one time, was just a plane blank space. You guys have done some great improvements.
Thanks so much, the plants and flowers have really helped to transform this area. Marty
Looks like the perfect place to spend the 4th of July holiday! Your table is so pretty and festive. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe!
Cheers!
