Winter Botanicals & Garden Blog Hop. I am thrilled to be joining Amber @ Follow The Yellow Brick Home for the Winter Botanicals & Garden Blog Hop. If you are coming over from her home, I am sure you were inspired.
Since the blog hop is about Botanicals and Gardens, I thought I would share our garden. I love our backyard and spend tons of time there. It has always been our favorite place to be since we moved into this house and finished the pool. Landscaping around the pool has been an ongoing process. I love flowers, so adding new annuals around the pool is always on my list of things to do for Spring. We’ve had some warm days, so I have been cleaning and sprucing up the yard.
Time to wash down the pool deck and clean the table and chairs. Everything got a good scrubbing and it looks so clean and fresh, I pruned and trimmed all the bushes and shrubs too.
This side of the yard is cleaned and the garden area is ready to plant a Spring Garden soon.
I always love to look at this picture to remind me what this yard looked like when we bought the house. Six months later we had our paradise.
Once all of that was done, it was time to create a pretty seating area on the patio. I’ve kept things pretty neutral for winter. The curtains on the back wall create such a nice backdrop. Loving the black and white mixed with the wicker chair and rug. This is such a nice place to sit and enjoy the yard and pool.
Now if the weather will just stay gorgeous. Winter is the perfect time to enjoy our backyard and patio.
Now hop on over and check out what all my friends are sharing. Next up is Debra @ Common Ground. She always has some of the most beautiful ideas.
A Stroll Thru Life
What a beautiful backyard oasis Marty! That pool looks so refreshing and makes me want summer to get here that much sooner. So happy to be hopping with you today.
You have done an amazing job on your back yard. I’m sure winter is a fabulous time to be outside in your neck of the woods.
You have such a beautiful outdoor sanctuary! It is a pleasure to join you for the hop today! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

what a beautiful backyard you have Marty! Such a lovely spot to entertain.
I know you’ve had some crazy weather lately but I bet you’ll be out back enjoying it very soon. Love your beautiful landscape around your pool Marty! Paradise indeed!
Oh Marty, this is such a beautiful sight to see, as it around 25 degrees this weekend around here and I can imagine a bit of warmth and sunshine! I love that enjoy those beautiful views year round, even though they change a bit. I can’t wait to see what you plant for spring too! I didn’t realize you had a little raised garden bed. I would love to know what you grow there.
The before and after transformation should be in a magazine. Just amazing!
Thanks so much for joining the hop!
I love your beautiful outdoor paradise! One of the nice perks of living in a warmer climate are mild winters.
Hi Marty, your backyard oasis is so beautiful. You guys really transformed your outdoor spaces. I love how your outdoor patio is curtained off for privacy. It’s a beautiful spot, and how wonderful that you can use it year round.
That is quite the transformation you’ve got there Ms. Marty! That seems to be the best place to spend winter. 🙂
HI, Marty, I am visiting again and leaving a comment this time. Your backyard doesn’t even look like the same place compared to when you moved in and now. Everything looks so much better and truly an oasis.
