Welcome, if you’re new, come on in and visit. I’d love to share my 2021 Spring Home Tour Part 2. My living room is one of my favorite spaces in this home. It has two-story vaulted ceilings and tons of light with huge 9′ tall windows. All the light always makes it look like a happy room.
Spring is such a happy time, everything just seems to come to life and the world is filled with tons of gorgeous colors. I love all the colors of the rainbow, so trying to pick a color scheme for my home in Spring is always hard. This time I chose Blue and White with a touch of Yellow. How classic is that?
Our living room gets the most fantastic light, so any color I use just seems to glow. You walk right into our living/dining areas when you come into our home. This is a two-story area, so you can also see all the way to the back of the house and outside, plus up to the loft on the second floor. That’s a lot to see, so I try to keep things rather simple and cohesive. A console and chair create a sort of entrance with the living and dining on the left side of the room.
A simple assortment of blue and white pillows and a plaid throw on the sofa.
I mixed in a few yellow stems to my vase. I think blue and white just needs a touch of yellow.
As you can see, this is the dumping ground for my shoes and handbag when I come in the door. I am trying to wear a hat more too, so that lands on the chair with everything else.
The dining area has a grasscloth runner with white candlesticks and a yellow and white tulip flower arrangement. Perfect for an everyday centerpiece.
Taking an everyday table centerpiece and turning it into a Spring or Easter Tablesetting is so easy.
I have a collection of Faberge eggs and plates that I collected years ago. I love to pull them out in the spring and time for Easter. Adding them to a tablesetting always creates such a fun and inviting table.
White goblets and gold flatware add the finishing touches. Each place setting has a different egg and plate. A tulip bouquet from the $1 store looks so real.

It doesn’t seem possible that we’ve been in this home for 4 years now. It’s been fun to see how a home can evolve over time. We love it and have enjoyed making it feel like us. Thanks for stopping by and taking a tour of our 2021 Spring Home Tour Part 2.

That’s beautiful, Marty! I love the blue & white and punches of yellow. Those Faberge eggs and coordinating plates are just super. Happy Spring!
