I’ve always loved a great front porch. We did have a nice porch at our last home, but as much as I love this house, there really isn’t a porch – more like a stoop. Small or not, I love Adding Spring To The Front Porch. Even with a small porch, a few flowers always makes everyone feel welcome.
Here is a view to show you how small our porch really is.
Curb appeal has been a problem ever since we bought the house. We left things the way they were for a while, then last year before Jim passed, he tore out all the old shrubs and planted some new ones. They are still really small, so I hope they grow soon.
For Halloween, I had a Spooky Front Porch.
Then I changed out the basket to some yellow flowers. Not really anything special, but I just felt like we needed some color.
Now I think we need something spring. I had some orange and white tulips, so the basket got a makeover.
Now I feel like the front door and porch look happier and brighter. (Maybe I need to find a new rug too.)
Hi Marty, I love the pop of orange on the front door.
Hey I figured out why you can’t see my images.
Hometalk ended up getting involved because they had the same issue on my site and I mentioned you had visited twice with same issue.
They fixed it on the hometalk side and said you likely have an ad blocker.
So it is what it is. Sometimes I wish I had an ad blocker ;0)
thanks for the feedback. Let me know if you ever visit and you suddenly see the images!
happy Tuesday, laura
Love the orange flowers for spring. They’re perfect with your house color. I’ve had big and small porches, but flowers are always a must have for whatever season. Hope you’re having a great week!
Have read your posts for year and very much enjoy seeing how to decorate your home. Funny thing I realized after seeing the front of your home today is I had the same home in Vegas. The rooms were arranged a little differently but the front was the same. Loved that house! Yes, the front door took a little creativity to style, but you seem to have no problem with it. Absolutely on spot. Thanks for sharing. On another note I was born and raised in South Carolina and moved to Vegas when I was fifty. Stayed there for 12 years and now live in a small town in Idaho. Wish I could have brought my Vegas house with me. I will just enjoying looking at yours more closely now.
How fun, I love this house and how fun to see you had the same house in Vegas. Marty
Very pretty. All you need now is an Easter bunny.
If you reuse the basket for other seasons. Spray with some clear paint to protect the wicker from drying out.
