Welcome to Spring Kitchen Counters – April Pinterest Challenge hosted by Cindy @ Country Road 407. Each month we have a different theme and inspiration picture to inspire us. Our challenge is to create our version of the theme.
If you are coming over from The Painted Hinge, welcome. I am sure you loved her beautiful kitchen tour as much as I do.
Our inspiration this time comes from Marly Dice as she shared her Fresh & Cheerful Spring Kitchen Tour. The rules are to look at the inspiration pic and try to interpret the same ideas in your own style.
What I am gathering from her tour and the pictures she shared are:
Cutting Boards
Vase & Pitcher with flowers
Stacked dishes & fruit
Tiered Tray with Cleaning Essentials
Large commercial-style faucet
I love rearranging my kitchen and I love adding fun decor to my counters, so this was a fun challenge.
Let’s start with a view of my kitchen – – I think my kitchen has most of the same items, just displayed with my version of each item.
This is the workhorse area of my kitchen. I spend most of my time here, either prepping or actually cooking. So this area always gets some favorite decor that makes me happy to look at. Check out the fruit in my antique scale and cutting boards. I have my pig cutting board behind the range top and the corner has two more cutting boards that I really like. So that counts for 2 of the items she shared.
I don’t have a tiered tray with cleaning essentials, but I do have a great tray with my oils and spoons. So I am using that as a substitute.
I really do like this scale with fruit. This was a fun find on a thrifting lunch date with a friend years ago. She and I usually found the neatest things when we were together.
For a vase with flowers and stacked dishes, I did a basket tray arrangement for my island. This one is rather whimsical but fun.
That just about covered all the items she shared except one.
The big commercial-style faucet is the last on the list. I have one that I love too.
This was a fun challenge. I always love having any excuse to switch things up in my kitchen.
Next up is Laura @ Decor To Adore. She always inspires me and is such a talent, you will love her kitchen. She’s about to do a total remodel so take a last look before the fun begins.
Now be sure to check out all the others participating in this fun linky. I know you will find lots of great decor ideas and have fun seeing some beautiful kitchens too.
Good morning Marty! I love everything about your kitchen decor. I love the pig cutting board (and the location).
THe vintage scale is on my list! I love the layout of your kitchen too. This is a favorite! Laura in CO
Marty you have truly inspired me! I adore all of your touches. That silver camel is fabulous!
Love your kitchen ideas, Marty! So many fun things to look at all throughout your kitchen.

Your spring kitchen is lovely, Marty! Love your counters, too!
Marty, I love how bright and airy your kitchen is!! The Imperial scale is a nice size. Makes me think of the orange groves my mother-in-law talked about which used to be all over Riverside and Orange Counties when she was young back in the 1940’s… Really pretty how you’ve fixed your kitchen up for spring! 🙂
Enjoy,
Barb 🙂
Everything is so beautiful! I love your vintage touches. I just purchased a pig cutting board this past weekend! So fun.
Your spring kitchen is so pretty and perfectly organized too Marty. The vintage scale is a terrific find and adds just the right amount of cozy charm. Pinning!
Marty, I love your kitchen and you have it decorated perfectly! I have a soft spot for vintage scales and I love yours – what an awesome find!
Wowza, you did a great job with this PC! Your spring kitchen is so happy and pretty. This might sound strange but that little corner on the bar area where you have the lantern – it would be my favorite place to decorate. I love odd corners. Is it one of your faves? Love those fancy shmancy barstools too. Everything is lovely. Thank you for joining in this month! 🙂 Pinned
So pretty, Marty! That scale is drool-worthy, indeed! You definitely hit all the details from the inspiration pic; fun to see them in your version.
Your kitchen is decorated so beautifully for spring Marty. I specially love the vintage scale. Nicely done!
Marty, your vintage scale is awesome. What a great item to decorate for the seasons. I love how you used a woven basket for display and keeping things neat. I’d love to have a pig cutting board. Happy May.
