It’s time for another Pinterest Challenge, hosted by Cindy of County Road 407. Each month we have a different theme and inspiration picture to inspire us. Our challenge is to create our version of the theme. Our February Pinterest Challenge – How To Decorate An Entryway For Spring is a post by Sand Dollar Lane.
Leen created her table vignette by using baskets, plants, and books.
If you are coming over from The Ponds Farmhouse welcome, I am sure you loved her entry as much as I did.
I tried to use some similar textures by using a wicker vase, plants and books. My entry console is much smaller than hers, but I think I captured the essence of Spring just like she did.
I used a mixture of vases, a wicker wrapped glass vase as well as a smaller basket base. For some contrast, I added a small marble textured ceramic vase. One book topped with some wood beads adds more texture and interest.
My space is finished off with a leather chair and my favorite puppy.
Now be sure to hop on over to see the beautiful entry created by Thistle Key Lane. Then click on any of the links below to see all of the entries these amazing ladies have created.
HI Marty, I love it! I used to have a side chair next to my entry table and after seeing yours I think I am going to bring it back!
Are you getting this cold snap?
happy day Marty! Laura
Yes we are looking at rain and even snow down to 3000 ft. Nice change in the weather, but we will be back to normal next week.
Marty,
This look is just so soft and pretty for spring. That artwork is just gorgeous!
THE GREENERY ADDS TO THE THEME. LOVE IT.
Marty,
I loved your entry cabinet. What a great piece. Don’t you just love all this inspiration for spring.
Marty, the first thing I noticed is how beautifully your spring entry items go with the painting. The lamp and the vase pick up the colors so well.
This looks so pretty and inviting, Marty! I don’t have an entry table but I do love how my steps flair out and how I have my blue and white jars. Have a beautiful day, Marty!
Your spring entryway update is lovely, Marty! Love the caned vase and the natural elements! Just perfect!
Your table is so pretty Marty, and that art piece is stunning! I like the wood beads that add a casual touch to the elegant vignette!
Your elegant and sophisticated style is so different from mine which is why I love it so. Your colors and simplicity give me such a calm and peaceful feeling. Thank you for joining in. Always love seeing what you do.
Your style is always so elegant; so fresh and pretty!
Marty, I love the look of your entry table no matter what season we are celebrating. Everything you group together always looks so classic and mixes well with your artwork. Lovely!
This looks lovely Marty. I love all the greenery and the caned vase and chair are everything!
Very pretty Marty.
Marty, I really like the lampshade. Could you let me know where it was purchased?
Also, thank you for years of enjoying your blog. I really like your style and enjoy seeing how you change things for the seasons and over time.
Thanks so much. The lampshade was purchased many years ago from Target. I had the ribbon trim, so I just added it to the bottom with a glue gun. So easy to do. You can add trim to any shade and it totally upgrades them. Marty
Your entry table is so pretty, Marty. Very classic and timeless. Pinned!

I love your spring entryway. Just enough to begin the season. Simple and easy is the look I’m going for.
