Fall is a fun time of year. The heat of summer is over, the weather is perfect, leaves are changing and there an excitement in the air for Football, Hayrides and the coming Holidays.
Fall just seems like a wonderful relaxed casual time of year. I like to have tablesettings that are casual too. In the dining area I coordinate my table setting colors to the living room since they are really just one long room. I’ve kept the colors to mostly cream and beige.
I am using wicker placemats to tie in with the wicker baskets in the living room. The floral centerpiece is made up of assorted flowers from my stash. The tall weathered wood candlesticks are the star of the show.
Tip – — I turn them diagonally on the table so they don’t block the view of anyone sitting across from them. This also adds some interest to a simple tablescape.
A simple casual fall setting.
The breakfast area table is where we eat most of our meals and where the family gathers most of the time. I like to have it set with something pretty for the season too. A fall floral centerpiece adds some wonderful color to the table.
It’s so simple and inexpensive to make your own floral arrangements. I picked up these 10 stems of fall floral at the Dollar Tree. $10 for a pretty bouquet.
I grabbed a vase from my stash, some floral foam that I also buy at the Dollar Tree and some wire cutters.
I start by cutting all the stems off of each bunch. Then I can just start adding a few in here and there to get the size I am looking for.
One I have the size, then I just start adding in flowers to fill in.
When I am all done, I have a bouquet of fall color that is perfect for the breakfast table.
The sun makes the flowers light up. Now this is a happy table to gather around.
Do you like to change out your table setting too? I love having something pretty for my family to enjoy.
