I think a first impression is always important and especially as you greet someone into your home. We don’t have an “entrance hall” in the normal sense of the space. Instead you walk right into our living/dining area when you enter our home. I’ve created a sort of “Entrance” with a console table and vignette. It’s a great place to place keys, packages and etc as you come in and a great place to check yourself in the mirror before you go out.
Here is our new “Entrance”.
I’ve replaced a favorite painting with a mirror and changed up the table vignette. A pretty basket holding a pillow and throw add texture and interest under the console table.
I tried to keep it simple and classic. (oops, yep that’s my arm)
We all love a good before and after, so here is what this area has looked like. I love this little girl painting, one of my all time favorites. She now has a home in our bedroom and I love seeing her there.
This is a nice change and I love the classic feel and vibe.
Do you have an entrance hall or do you enter into your living room too? How do you create the feel of an “Entrance”.?
