Wow, can you believe that we are in October and that the holidays are just around the corner. Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here. Now is the time to start planning. I see tons of tablesetting pieces at Goodwill right about now. There is all kinds of dishes, crystal serving pieces and silver, so you can put fabulous tablescapes together for just pennies. It seems like all my tablescapes are always put together with thrifted items that I have found.
Last year I shared this table with you.
My plates for $2 and gold chargers for $1 came from Goodwill along with my brass candlesticks. The candles came from the 99c store. The small water goblet was my MIL’s and are treasured inherited pieces. The wine goblet was found on the clearance aisle of Home Goods for $2 ea.
Add a pretty bouquet of thrifted faux flowers in a Goodwill brass container and you have a really pretty Thanksgiving Table.
This was my Thanksgiving Table for 2015.
Almost everything on this table came from Goodwill. All the silver and even the dishes. The linens were in my stash and the flowers are recycled from my stash too.
When you see these unique pieces at Goodwill like the candelabra and wine caddy, by all means buy them. They can be dressed up or down for any occasion.
Here are a few others from the past that I have always loved. – Again almost everything was found at Goodwill or the 99c Store.
Just add a really special bouquet to a simple and casual placesetting and instant elegance.
Black, white and silver is always elegant. Every single thing on the table came from Goodwill.
Giggle Galore stole my heart with this one using items from the grocery store. How about using artichokes, gords, squash and all kinds of vegetables.
This is also one of my very favorites from Uncommon Designs. A bundle of wheat, a simple placesetting and this looks so elegant.
How do you plan for Thanksgiving? Do you go all out or do you go low key?
