I am so glad we have a national day to honor all of our Veterans. They should be honored every day. My special Veteran Jim passed away on August 13, 2020. He served our country in the Air Force.
He is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. It is such a blessing to be able to honor him again this year.
It is such a beautiful cemetery. Every grave and all the grounds are so lovingly cared for. I am so happy that Jim has been buried there.
For Veterans Day and Holidays, every grave is marked with a flag. It is such a spectacular sight to see. 46,000+ flags honoring each Veteran.
The grounds are always open to the public. I visit Jim 2 to 3 times a week. I miss him so much. My emotions are still a little shaky, but I am trying to honor him by carrying on with our life the best I can. I know I have been blessed more than some with the 36 years we shared. Every day of those 36 years, he cared, loved, and provided for me. Most of all he made sure I knew he loved me.
He always gave the best hugs and I loved the way he would hold me. I think I miss that the most. The National Memorial Cemetery will allow me to be buried with him when my time comes. That truly is a blessing that I can join him again someday. Every day I try to honor him as a wife that was blessed to be married to such a remarkable man.
I love you with all my heart.
Such a lovely tribute.
You Jim was such an amazing man. When we lived in AZ our Scout troop assisted in placing the flags. Truly such a beautiful sight to see. Hope you are on the mend, sweet friend!
