I always think it is amazing how God brings people together. The Christmas Club is a story of how one ladies Christmas Club money brought so much good and so many people together. It is written by my dearest friend Barbara Hinske.
How I met Barbara is so similar to the story in the book of how everyone met each other and how they all became friends and Blessed each other.
A few years ago I had a get-together for quite a few Phoenix bloggers for a Luncheon and Decor Swap. As I posted this announcement on my blog inviting anyone in the area to come, this one lady (Barb) was new to blogging and introduced herself. I invited her to join us and get to know some fellow bloggers. I had never met her and I didn’t know anything about her blog, so this was really inviting a stranger. However in blogland no one is really a stranger. To my surprise, she came. We soon all discovered that this lady is a very accomplished and prominent professional in town, so it was a thrill when she came and not only was such a delight, but offered to introduce a couple of young professionals just out of college to some of the more influential people in town at a luncheon.
She also invited me to lunch at a later date and our friendship began. Now I love to call her one of my dearest friends ever. She is bright, intelligent, warm and so loving and caring. I am sure God arranged our first meeting.
Aside from her day job she is also one of the most amazing Authors. She has written the successful series ” Coming To Rosemont“.
There are 4 books to the series so far and on Amazon Best Seller List.. If you haven’t read these books, you are missing out. Full of intrigue, romance and life, something everyone can relate to.
She just recently finished her latest book, The Christmas Club. It has become a best seller on Amazon in a very short time. Here is a little tease for you – – –
Verna Lind expects Christmas of 1952 to be the best holiday she’s had since the war ended. But as she’s leaving the bank, a frigid wind off Lake Erie catches her hard-earned Christmas club savings, whisking the bills into the busy streets of downtown Cleveland and devastating her plans. Strangers come to her aid, though no one anticipates the power of their chance encounter or the seeds of happiness Verna’s lost money will sow.
From Barbara Hinske, best-selling author of the Rosemont series, comes this heartwarming Christmas tale celebrating the generosity of the human spirit and the irresistible pull of love — an instant holiday classic for admirers of It’s a Wonderful Life and The Gift of the Magi.
This is a must for anyone on your Christmas List that likes to read. It also makes a wonderful stocking stuffer.
You can purchase it on Amazon here.
I know as you read these books you will get to know Barbara and love her and her books as much as I do.
