We have had so much rain and cloudy skies. We are beginning to really be tired of all those gloomy days. Our rain started right at Christmas and has been going strong ever since. We are totally water-logged and hoping for Sunshine After The Rain.
When I took Christmas down it was really hard to try and get motivated to redecorate the house. Everything always seems like a let down after Christmas and then gloomy rainy weather wasn’t helping. I went through the motions and tried to get motivated to make the house look cheerful for the new year.

The clouds lifted and the sun began to shine yesterday and we had a few moments of glorious bright sunshine. I just had to grab the camera and take a few pictures of the family room.
In the afternoon when the sun is shining, it fills this room with the most glorious glow. I am a sunshine girl and totally love to see it pour through the windows into the house.
The large windows in the back of the house let so much light in and create the most amazing shadows.
I love to see how the pillows change in character and texture in the light.
Super fun day with the sunshine. Now we are ready for a few more days of rain then more sun.

I am a sunshine girl. It took years to realize I have SAD. Winter really does it to me. However, I like rain. It seems to wash everything clean. Seems peaceful when it’s raining; especially if I have to go out. That worked until so many hotroders who don’t know how to drive in the rain bought cars.
