My $9.99 Louis Chairs saga continues. I am down to the last decision on these chairs that I am redoing and having a hard time deciding what to do about fabric. In my previous post I showed you a couple of options. Then I ordered this fun cowhide fabric and have narrowed down my choices to these two. I cut a piece of each and taped them to the chairs to see which one. (They are just taped in so I know they have wrinkles, but you get the idea.) Now I need some help. What would you use?
I love this scroll fabric, but I think it makes the chairs look a little formal. Not sure that is what I want.
This is a really fun faux cowhide fabric that has short hair like a real cowhide. This is really funky and fun and not at all formal.
So what do you think?
Once I make this decision, then I am going to try my hand at making double welting to finish things off. We’ll see how that goes.
If you missed it, you can see how I stripped and stained these chairs and where we started here. They’ve already come a really long way from what they were.
