Holiday Open House Tour-Part 2-Family Room

I am so honored to be part of 2015 Holiday Open House hosted by 11 Magnolia Lane.  20 days of beautiful Christmas Homes.

If you are here from Stylehouse Interiors tour yesterday welcome.  Were you as blown away by her gorgeous decor as I was.  It was all amazing, but she stole my heart right at the foyer.

Jen is a really hard act to follow, but here is my best shot.

The Great Room is where we hang out all the time, so it is the place I love to decorate, however it has to also function for crowds of people and us on a day to day basis.

I like pretty but practical.

This is definitely where all the action is and where everyone gathers everyday.

I love using what I have and adding a few new things each year.  Mixing High-Low-Goodwill Thrifted and loved treasures from past years.

Red plaid and leopard just seems to go with this room, so some fun plaid and fur pillows from AtHome were my jumping off point.

Add in a little leopard,  a vintage santa, tree and ornaments and it feels like home.

Isn’t he gorgeous, a fabulous Goodwill find a couple of years ago.

(Be sure to check your local thrift stores after Christmas.)

Here’s a little sneak peak at my Goodwill Carolers too.

These are such fun and pretty Carolers all dressed in their beautiful red and green velvet.

We all love hanging out in this room and many Christmas memories are made her.

The adjoining breakfast area got a little plaid and fur too.

I couldn’t resist these really cute cableknit deer from AtHome.  They added that special touch to our table this year.

Be sure to check out my DIY On The Cheap tutorial for the plaid runner and napkins here.

Christmas plates were a Goodwill find a couple of years ago.

I would love for you to check out my Christmas Part l where I share the rest of our home.

Don’t miss the final tour tomorrow -Julie @ Life of Bliss always has the most beautiful decor and ideas. You really don’t want to miss her tour.  Here’s a little peak at one of her latest diy’s and she always gives the best tutorials too.

I loved having you here and being a part of this wonderful lineup of homes and thanks to 11 Magnolia Lanes for hosting such a great tour.
