Obviously I am a little obsessed with this bedroom makeover. The white comforter I ordered didn’t work at all so back it goes. For now I am moving on to other things.
I found the perfect mirror, just enough bling and character. Seems like I usually have good luck at Lamps Plus. (I am not being compensated at all, I just like this store.) While I was there looking for my chandy for the closet makeover, I saw they had several mirrors on sale. There were so many gorgeous ones, but I thought this one had character and was a little different than just a plain frame. I was also specifically looking for round. At 32″ wide and $69 I thought it was a bargain. It has a beautiful gold leaf finish on the frame with just enough bling, and not too shiny.
I shopped the house for a few different accessories. The black and gold box and the gold leaf candle hurrican both came from Home Goods. I found them on their clearance aisle a couple of weeks ago. The hurricane was $6.95 and the box was $5. Love that store and love those clearance aisles.
This is starting to look like I envisioned. I am going to call this good for now.
So the dresser on my side is done and so is the nightstand on hubby’s side. We are making progress.
We also made a trip to Ikea yesterday and I bought a pair of the white Lenda drapes. Not sure if I will trim them or leave them plain. I’ve ordered another comforter set, we’ll have to see how that turns out, then I can decide.
