This is the push week to get things done. Next week is the big reveal. I still have tons to do, but slowly it is all coming together. If you are new you can catch up here – here – here.
If you have been following along then you know this is a cosmetic makeover – no fancy closet organizers, just working with my builder basic. This week was all about storage and a few “pretty things”. I finally got the fabric shade made to cover this shelf and it looks amazing.
I needed a place to store all those quilts and comforters that won’t fit in my tiny linen closet, and the only space I could find was our closet. We have 91/2 ft. ceilings, so we added a shelf up high and it is perfect to hold everything. I folded everything neatly and placed them in pillow cases to keep them clean. Then I needed a shade or something to cover them up.
I think the shade was the perfect solution.
It makes a pretty backdrop for my “glamour shelf” too.
More storage is always a welcome addition. I still needed space for more handbags, so I spray painted a piece of wire shelving gold and added it up high on this corner. Perfect spot for my backpack and extra handbags.
You can see the top of a gold mirror-a little primping spot I’m still working on.
This basket drawer unit is my last stumbling point. I want to dress them up somehow and couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do. Hubby came to the rescue with a fabulous solution. Can’t wait to get it finished and show you.
I am thrilled with how the closet is turning out. A little DIY, Paint and a lot of purging has worked wonders so far. Yip Skip!!!! I am alsmost done.
