Can Two Offices Be Better Than One? I think so. I have always had my office upstairs in the loft since we moved into this house and I love it. I spend a lot of time reading your blogs and searching the internet. I love to redo things in my home and then post about those changes too, so that means time on the computer.
My office upstairs in the loft has been my happy place for the past 7 years. Now I have a small temporary problem. I can’t climb the stairs every 10 minutes like I use to since I had my heart surgery on December lst. So that meant I needed a place to have an office and computer downstairs. My son moved my computer downstairs for me when I first came home from the hospital. He saw how old it was and how slow it was, so he surprised me with a brand new computer for Christmas.
I took the tree down right after Christmas and started making room for my new computer and an office downstairs. I love all the glitter and glitz of Christmas, but it really is nice to have things back to normal.
I decided to use the same brown and white color scheme for a while longer.
Just swapping out a few accessories gave the room a fresh look.
This pretty H Blanket was a special gift from my daughter. I looooooooooooooooove it.
Next was to find a place for the new computer to go so I could leave it set up for a while and it wouldn’t be on the kitchen table or in the way. I decided the dinng room buffet was perfect.
The top makes a perfect desk and all I have to do is turn a chair around and I have the perfect place to sit and work.
My new computer is mind blowing. No huge tower. That little black box is all that’s needed and it is twice as powerful and fast as my old one. My new monitor and keyboard are wonderful too.
Now I have the best of both worlds. If I am upstairs I can use my office up there – – – or my new one downstairs.
I think Santa was pretty good to me this year, I feel pretty spoiled too.
That’s a great spot for your office, Marty. It looks chic and sophisticated. And Handy!! Stairs are hard on me too. So glad you’re getting stronger each day.
Sounds like a plan ! Love the new computet and set up. Is that the picture of your husband when you went to Hawaii? I remember asking about the plants.

That’s a great set up and really a good idea to stay off stairs unnecessarily for a while. Your living room looks fantastic and so glad you are doing so well with all the life changes handed to you. We must all keep on …..because we can’t slow down.
