Making Room For New Kitchen Toys

I cook a lot and during the Holidays, I really gave this kitchen and me a workout.  Santa (aka my sons) bought me some new kitchen toys to make cooking easier.

I”ve had the KitchenAid hand mixer for years and love it, but I have never had a stand mixer.

I know most of you have one, but isn’t it wonderful.  I am sure you love yours too.

This corner of my kitchen is where I spread out and really get into “cooking/baking” mode.

Naturally I had to try and make it pretty too.

This cookbook is fabulous, it is a gift from my daugher and has some wonderful recipes.  My little french chef is a favorite, I cook a lot with wine and I also enjoy a glass now and then too.

Faux baked goods are so fun and keep me from gaining another 20 lbs.

I have coveted this mixer for years and I love to just look at it even when I’m not cooking.  Now if you look next  to my little TV (best $1 purchase from Goodwill ever) you will see another fabulous toy.

I got the KitchainAid Blender too.  My old one died a long slow death a few months ago.  Now I can make my smoothies and dozens of other great things.  I seem to use a blender a lot.

Perfect spot in this corner of the kitchen to leave it out all the time and put it to good use.

With this much of the kitchen scrubbed and clean, I thought I might as well clean the rest and create a new vignette for the empty island.

My favorite black and white cows.  How fun are these guys.

Some antique spoons and vintage salts and peppers are always pretty to see.

Together this makes for a fun and unexpected vignette.

I feel pretty spoiled, now I better get busy and cook up something wonderful with my new gifts.

So, tell me, what is your favorite thing to make with your kitchen toys.
