Isn’t it funny how you find a combination that works for you and then it is your favorite love at the moment. I have a few this year.
I had fallen into the habit of just using cheap 99c store paper and stick on bows for my presents, so this year I was determined to change that. I am loving fancy ribbons on pretty papers this year and trying to make the package fit the personality of the person. Simple for men and glitzy for ladies. My ottoman has also become one of the hardest working spots in my house-my favorite dumping spot. These are the packages that I need to take to others homes. Perfect place to keep them all in one spot and not mixed up under the tree.
My favorite outfit is usually a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. This year I have loved adding the scarf to dress it up a bit and of course the leopard flats add a fabulous measure of chic. My go to bag has been this wonderful big leather one. It has a strap long enough to cross over the body for hands free shopping and is super light weight. It gets dumped here on the ottoman as soon as I walk in the door and is the perfect place to grab everything as I walk out.
Last present wrapped and I am out the door. I wrap stacks of different cookies and candies in celephane and tuck them into gift bags for a couple of gentlemen seniors that I work with. Each bag holds 3 doz. cookies and 1 lb. of fudge. They LOVE any kind of homemade treats and are always curious if I’ve started baking yet. haha I love hearing the stories they tell about all the wonderful things their wives use to bake. So precious.
Of course there’s a few presents for this gift to us from the Lord – Bronx. He is such a special Miracle and we are all so Blessed. He is so much fun.
So I guess I would have to say one of my favorite things this year is the ottoman, it has turned out to be a great dumping staging spot. Easy to grab everything and out the door.
