Christmas Open House Tour 2014-Part 1

I am so thrilled to be joining the Christmas Open House hosted by Sherry @ No Minimalist Here.   If you just came by from 21 Rosemary Lane, welcome.  Her home is gorgeous and every detail of her Christmas decor is stunning.  I fell in love with her Guest Bedroom.  Tons of inspiration there.

Be sure to see all the fabulous home tours at the 2014 Holiday House Walk Link Party too.

Welcome to my home.

I added a few pillows and comfy throw to the porch, perfect place to curl up and enjoy a cup of coco.

You can see all the porch detail here.  Come on in and I’ll get you something warm to drink.

This year I decided to keep the living/dining area neutral with gold/silver/glitz and shimmer.

Anything with sparkle or glitter caught my eye and there was plenty of                    sparkle on all of the pillows.  Homegoods has a fabulous selection of glitzy pillows.

and a mixture of furs too.

Santa and a gold tinsel tree on the coffee table – – –

plus a pretty bowl filled with some diy ornaments.

Another Pretty pillow on the side chair.

A forest of thrifted trees next to a tiny santa.

My Dining area is part of the living room, so I always have fun coordinating my decor to what I have going on in the Living area.  I continued my theme of silver and gold.

I replaced the sconces with sequined reindeer surrounded by thrifted wreaths and $1 store berries and flowers.

The dining table got a little sparkle too with a silver and gold runner.

This bottle brush tree has been in my stash for a few years, so this year I thought maybe I would give it a little bit of a glam makeover.

I placed it in a champagne bucket from Goodwill then surrounded it with a few pods, pearls, glittered fruit and a pretty bow.

It all sits on another Goodwill tray and is surrounded by some of my favorite mirror ornaments.

Dollar Tree reindeer for a little sparkle and glitz.

Add some thrifted crystal candlesticks and the centerpiece is done.

As a final addition, I couldn’t resist adding a tray holding a bottle of wine sporting it’s pretty fur wine collar.  How fun is that.

The buffet holds a very special treasure.

My MIL’s Nativity, Rosary and Crucifix.  I am so honored that it was passed down to me.

A couple of years ago I found the animals and angel to complete my set.  I flanked them with two  hurricanes holding gold leaf candles embellished with silver glitter trees and snow.

Of course the star of the show is always the tree.  I love how magical it looks with the sun shining in.

Santas robe and the tinsel tree just glisten in the light.

Our tree got a few new mirror ornaments this year, but is always decorated with ornaments collected over a lifetime.  The doves are one of my favorites.

Packages are wrapped in gold, plaid and leopard for even more sparkle and I adore this   huge gold mirror ball that I found at Ross.

Thanks so much for the visit, I always love it when you stop by.  From my Family to Yours,
                                                    God Bless and Merry Christmas.

Next up is All About Vignettes.  Last year Kathy dazzled me with her Peacock feather inspired tree.  I can’t wait to see what she has done this year.
